What’s New With Nicole Leckenby

Nicole Leckenby graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Media Communications.  While completing her degree, she started working for a local webzine, The New Yinzer.  After a few years of that, she moved on to her own publication, The Holiday Café, which she still publishes on a quarterly basis. Nicole decided she wanted to do something different.  She then wrote Summer Vacation, which not only gave her the opportunity to work with her mom, but also a way to give back as a dollar from each book sold is donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. She wrote and published her first book, My Crazy Life, in 2008 and is currently working on revamping it for re-release. Nicole and her husband Brian have two boys, Liam (13), and Colin (9), who gave her Soccer Mom status.   During the season, you can find her cheering on her boys.  She also takes dance classes every Monday night and serves on The Pleasant Hills Borough Council.
